Carl Larsson 2013 Wall Calendar

After studying at the Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts, Carl Larsson (1853–1919) met his future wife, Karin Bergöö, who encouraged his transition from oils to the light, bright watercolors that would make him Sweden’s best-loved artist. Karin’s father gave the couple a small cottage in the rural village of Sundborn, and as their family expanded, Larsson enjoyed rendering the cottage and its inhabitants in cheerful watercolors. The twelve paintings in this calendar celebrate the artist’s delight in domestic bliss.Size: 13 x 12 in.; opens to 13 x 24 in.
